The news that Senator John Thune is hardening the SAVE Act should alarm every resident of Livingston County. This bill is a direct threat to the ease of registration we’ve worked hard to protect.
I am asking my fellow citizens to join me in contacting Sen. Gary Peters and Sen. Elissa Slotkin. Tell them we expect a NO vote and a fierce defense of our voting rights within the Democratic caucus. Democracy only works if everyone can participate—don’t let them take that away.
