I’ve been asked: “Are you better off now than you were two months ago?”
My answer is a resounding NO!
Almost immediately upon President Biden’s departure and President Trump’s unexpected return, there has been a whirlwind of changes in the government workforce — proposed, implemented and/or rescinded. More critically, these attempts at change are driven not by coherent policy but seemingly by personal Trump vendettas.
To make matters worse, these vendettas carry the standard of DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency), directed by the CEO of Tesla, presumed under the authority of President Trump. Reports to date indicate that the government’s focus has shifted from intangible “strengthening our nation” to pursuing Trump’s promised retributions.
In my judgment, this isn’t a path to a prosperous future.
We must unite, focusing on rebuilding with clear objectives rather than erratic shifts in direction.
Our economy’s strength depends on it.
