
Learn to create a lasting testament to your life’s accomplishments with longtime Livingston County journalist Buddy Moorehouse from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, at the Howell Carnegie District Library.
It will be an evening of self-discovery and introspection as you delve into the art of capturing a lifetime’s essence in words with Moorehouse, who will share his expertise and insights on composing obituaries.
Far from a morbid exercise, this workshop is designed to empower you to reflect on your life, your aspirations, and the impact you want to leave on the world. Whether you’re intrigued by the art of storytelling, seeking a meaningful way to reflect on your life’s journey, or simply interested in enhancing your writing skills, the workshop will be enlightening and inspiring.
Moorehose was an editor at the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus from 1983 to 2009; he currently writes at The Livingston Post. He’s covered and written every type of story, and offered up opinions on virtually everything big that’s happened in Livingston County. He’s the author of two books, including his latest release, “A Taco Bell for Howell, and other Livingston County Crusades.”
Moorehouse is also an Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker, and teaches documentary filmmaking at Hillsdale College.
