Learn about robotic surgery during special mobile event

Want to test drive a surgical robot? If so, an event featuring a mobile robotic lab — set for July 30-31 at Trinity Health Ann Arbor — is your chance to meet surgeons and physicians, test drive robotic surgical tools (including the daVinci 5 and ION robots), and learn how they are used in various types of surgeries, including oncology, urology, colorectal, thoracic.

Physicians at Trinity Health Livingston hospital have been performing surgeries with the help of robotic technology since 2017.

This unique open house runs 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, with gelato available on a first come, first serve basis from 1-3 p.m.

On Thursday, July 31, the open house runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Gelato will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a discussion with thoracic and oncology doctors Kumari Adams and Arwa Mohamed Hosni taking place from noon to 1 p.m.

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is located at 5350 McAuley Drive in Ypsilanti. The mobile unit will be located in Employee Lot D in a DaVinci truck.
