LACASA Collection, the charity resale boutique benefiting LACASA Center, will welcome shoppers at its new location at Tanger Outlets Howell beginning Saturday, Aug. 24. The boutique, which carries men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, as well as accessories, home décor, and furniture, occupies three renovated storefronts at the popular shopping center.
The move marks the start of a new chapter in LACASA Collection’s history. The boutique first opened in 2017 in the Kroger/Crossroads plaza in Howell, where it operated until July 2024. Store manager Amanda Loomis says the new, larger location will give even more members of the community the opportunity to “Shop for Good” and “Donate for Good.”
“Our incredible staff and dedicated volunteers have poured their heart and souls into renovating this space, and we can’t wait for people to see the new LACASA Collection,” Loomis said. “The opportunity to be part of the Tanger Outlets Howell family gives so many more people exposure to both our store and LACASA’s mission to serve victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual violence.”
Beginning Saturday, Aug. 24, LACASA Collection will be open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The store will be open on Labor Day.
Those looking to donate gently used items in good condition can do so Tuesday through Sunday (beginning Sept. 3) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Donation Station will be closed on Mondays. For a full list of acceptable donation items and other information, visit www.lacasacollection.org. There, shoppers can also find a link to LACASA Collection’s online store, which features higher end items and is open 24/7.
To accommodate the expanded store and extended hours, LACASA Collection is currently hiring a part-time store associate. Information can be found by clicking here.
LACASA Collection is also in need of volunteers to help process donations and assist customers. Those interested should email Volunteering@lacasacenter.org.
