Sharing is caring!

“Three Little Kitties Find a New Home,” recently featured on the TODAY Show with Jenna and Hoda, is the featured book for the Kiwanis StoryWalk on the Tridge for June and July.

Written by Brighton High School grad Emily Gavin Kugler, the book tells the true story about her rescuing and rehabilitating animals, especially cats and kittens. She and her husband found three little boy kittens who were scared, hungry and without a home. They picked the kittens up, fed them, loved them, and eventually placed them in a loving home.

The book encourages children to treat animals with kindness and respect. It’s not just about finding homes for animals; it’s about teaching compassion, responsibility and love. Kugler’s goal is that every child who reads the book will see the value in caring for animals and to make a difference, no matter how small.

The Kiwanis StoryWalk on the Bridge is part of the Brighton Kiwanis literacy program, which features Michigan authors and/or illustrators.
