Genoa Township Clerk Polly Skolarus

Genoa Township Clerk Polly Skolarus was found not guilty of a misdemeanor charge that she used unapproved ballot containers in the November 2020 election.

Charged with one count of failure to perform duty under Michigan’s election law, Skolarus, a Republican, faced up to 90 days in jail or a $500 fine if she was convicted.

A jury found her not guilty of the charge.
