Sharing is caring!

In a battle of incumbents, Jay Gross of Hamburg Township easily defeated Brenda Plank of Green Oak Township in the 9th District Livingston County Board of Commissioners race. The district covers all of Green Oak and most of Hamburg.

Gross tallied 71 percent of the vote to Plank’s 29.

Gross was appointed to his seat in 2020 and then won a full term later that year. Plank was also elected in 2020, and redistricting put both incumbents in the same primary this year.

Gross will now face Democrat Christine Kaczkowski in the fall.
