Jameson’s Irish Pub & Grill at 110 E. Grand River Ave. in downtown Brighton is closing its doors on June 30.

Owner Tony Kasab said the closing comes with “heavy hearts.”

Jameson’s had been located in the Green Oak Village Place Mall, and Kasab moved it to Brighton five years ago after two neighboring buildings came open near the corner of Grand River Avenue and Main Street in downtown Brighton. He knocked down a wall between the two buildings to create a large space for the establishment, which featured dueling pianos.

“We tried to negotiate a new lease, but the owner of the building has decided to go in another direction,” Kasab said in a Facebook post. “We are … deeply saddened by this turn of events and want to thank you for your patronage over these past five years. Many dear friendships were formed and many wonderful memories made.”
