Iosco Township: One of county’s longest-serving officials goes down to defeat

Iosco Township will have a new clerk starting next year, as longtime incumbent Clerk Dan Delmerico suffered an overwhelming defeat in the Republican primary.

Delmerico, who has served as Iosco’s clerk since 2000, lost to firefighter Julie Dailey, 557 votes to 272.

In the race for two trustee spots on the GOP ballot, Joe Parker (539) and Jon Hardies (388) defeated Kenneth Hand (286).
