Informational tour for vets considering Great Lakes National Cemetery set for Sept. 11

Veterans, along with their spouses and family members, can take a complimentary bus tour of the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. The tour includes information on which memorial options you are entitled to that will best honor your service, while protecting your loved ones from unnecessary financial and emotional pain. Topics include veterans’ burial benefits, how to schedule a burial, rifle volleys, and military honors ceremonies, as well as information about headstones and markers. Attendees will tour the cemetery grounds and observe how the cemetery is operated.

Complimentary breakfast will be served. The tour meets at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Borek Jennings Funeral Home, 312 S. Michigan Ave., in Howell. Space is limited, so reserve your spot by calling (517) 295-0705.
