Howell students set to compete in culinary event

Nine Howell students are among 500 Michigan high schoolers who will showcase their hospitality industry skills in the 2026 Michigan ProStart Invitational in Battle Creek on March 2-3. Howell’s students will be competing in three categories: culinary, management, and pasta. Judging will be by leading industry professionals and high education professionals.

Approximately $900,000 in scholarships are available to ProStart students as they pursue careers in the hospitality industry, and first-place winners in two of the categories will move on to the National ProStart Invitational competition in April.
