Howell man charged in Hampton Inn robbery

A Howell man has been arraigned in the July 15 armed robbery of the Hampton Inn on Challis Road in Brighton.

Joshua Lee Bargovan, 22, was arraigned on July 17 on a count of armed robbery by Magistrate Jerry D. Sherwood in Livingston County’s 53rd District Court.

Bargovan remains lodged at the Livingston County Jail on a $200,000 cash or surety bond; his next court appearance is set for Tuesday, July 30, before 53rd District Court Judge Daniel Bain.

If convicted, Bargovan faces up to life in prison.
