HOWELL — After a bout with non-Covid-related illnesses earlier this week, the Howell girls basketball team is looking forward to better health when it takes on Birmingham Marian tonight at Howell High School.
The game will be broadcast on The Livingston Post beginning at around 6:50 p.m. Click here for the link.
The Highlanders played Tuesday’s game at Williamston with several ailing players, and cancelled practice on Wednesday to give afflicted players a chance to recover.
“Everyone’s looking better,:” Howell coach Tim Olszewski said.
In the nick of time, too.
Marian (1-2) has at lest four starters who are 5-10 or taller, towering over the smaller Highlanders.
“we have to keep an uptempo game and try to minimize their ability to establish their walk-up game, “Olwzewski said. “We don’t match up very well, height-wise.’
The Highlanders (2-1) battled through Tuesday’s game, even though they lost, 45-39. A healthy, or healthier, Howell team has a better shot.
