The Howell Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Lake Trust Credit Union, is accepting nominations for the 2025 Livingston ATHENA Leadership Award, which honors individuals who exemplify exceptional leadership, inspire others, and actively work to create positive change in the community.
The ATHENA Leadership Award celebrates those who embody the Eight Principles of Enlightened Leadership: live authentically, learn constantly, build relationships, foster collaboration, act courageously, advocate fiercely, give back, and celebrate others. With nearly 8,000 honorees across the globe, the award highlights the power of purpose-driven leadership.
Community members are encouraged to nominate leaders who are making a lasting impact in Livingston County. Nomination forms and criteria are available at howell.org and shared on the Chamber’s social media platforms. Submissions will be accepted electronically or via email to Dianne Samples at dsamples@howell.org.
The nomination period will close with a celebratory nomination night on July 31 at The Reserve Event Center. This evening will feature Shelley Davis Boyd, past ATHENA recipient and president of Integrate Collaborative. She will share her compelling leadership journey, offering inspiration and insight into the transformative power of the ATHENA experience.
The selected honoree will be celebrated at the ATHENA Leadership Awards Ceremony on Oct. 20, a signature event recognizing bold, visionary leadership and the individuals who lift others as they rise.
“Now is the time to shine a light on the leaders who uplift others, create lasting change, and inspire the next generation,” said Janelle Smith, President of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce. “By recognizing outstanding leadership today, we spark the potential for even greater impact tomorrow.”
