After an unscheduled night off Tuesday, the Howell boys basketball team will begin the 2022 portion of its season tonight, when the Highlanders play host to Plymouth.
The game, which will be broadcast on The Livingston Post (click here for the link), will also be the KLAA West Division opener for the Highlanders.
Howell was originally scheduled to play Salem at home on Tuesday, but a Covid-19 outbreak forced the postponement of that contest as well as games with Hartland tonight and Brighton next Tuesday.
No makeup date for the Salem-Howell matchup has been announced, but the Hartland game has been rescheduled for Jan. 28 and the Brighton game for Jan. 29.
The Highlanders are coming off their first win of the season, a 49-45 victory over Saginaw Heritage last week in the Motor City Roundball Classic.
Tonight’s game is the first home contest in three weeks for the Highlanders, who lost to DeWot 58-55 at home on Dec. 17.
After playing only three games in the first four weeks of the season, the Highlanders will be playing at least twice a week from now through Feb. 22.
