Hartland High School graduate Liam Callan is serving as an intern for the Indiana Senate Majority Caucus during the 2025 legislative session.

Callan, the son of Anthony and Jenelle Callan, recently graduated from Taylor University in Upland, Ind., with degrees in politics, philosophy and economics.

“During the busy legislative session, interns like Liam are extremely helpful to the legislative workflow, whether that means picking up some bill files or spending extra time on a project to make sure it is correct,” said Indiana state Sen. Aaron Freeman, R-Indianapolis. “I’m glad to have a fellow Indianapolis resident working here at the statehouse and I wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

As a legislative intern, Callan tracks and analyzes bill data, provides constituent services, staffs Senate committee hearings and meetings, and conducts legislative policy research.

Senate Majority interns work through the duration of the legislative session, which is scheduled to end by April 29.
