After a couple of close victories in defensive nonconference battles last week, the Hartland girls basketball team takes on a tough Northville squad at Hartland tonight.

Both teams won their KLAA West openers on Dec. 22, Hartland beating Howell 58-50, while Northville needed overtime to beat Canton, 46-42.
Northville goes into tonight’s game with a 7-1 overall record, while Hartland is 6-2.
The Mustangs and Eagles, along with Howell, are favorites to compete for the division title this season.
Northville won twice over the break, beating Traverse City Central 42-22 on Dec. 28 and Ann Arbor Huron 57-32 on Tuesday. Hartland beat Milford 32-29 on Dec. 28 and Walled Lake Central 36-21 on Dec. 29.
