Governor reappoints Howell woman to advisory council

Liliana Ospina Herbstreith

Liliana Ospina Herbstreith of Howell has been reappointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to the state’s Advisory Council on Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing.

Herbstreith is the creator, editor, and video journalist for Latinos En Michigan TV, and founder of Hispanic Mrketing Solutions, LLC. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in Social Communication from La Sabana University. Ms. Herbstreith is reappointed to represent individuals knowledgeable in the field of deafness, for a term commencing May 18, 2023, and expiring January 18, 2026.

The Advisory Council on Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard of Hearing serves to advise the Department of Civil Rights on matters pertaining to deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing persons.

Her appointment is not subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
