Governor appoints South Lyon man to Board of Professional Engineers

Paul Sgriccia

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has appointed Paul Sgriccia of South Lyon, is the senior consultant at PTS Consulting, LLC and an adjunct professor at Wayne State University’s College of Engineering, to the Michigan Board of Professional Engineers.

Sgriccia holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science engineering from the University of Michigan, and a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Wayne State University. Sgriccia is appointed as a professional engineer for a term commencing April 25, 2025, and expiring March 31, 2029; he succeeds Dima El-Gamal, whose term has expired.

The Michigan Board of Professional Engineers was created to license and regulate the practice of professional engineering in Michigan. The Board works with the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to oversee the practice of licensed professional engineers.

These appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
