Sharing is caring!

A collaboration of Brighton-Area churches is hosting a community story slam that begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at Brewery Becker, 500 W Main St., Brighton.

The evening will feature honest storytelling from storytellers in our community around the theme “Food: Tell us about a time when you bit off more than you could chew, cooked up something special, or when food soothed your soul.”

Amir Baghdadchi from the Moth Radio Hour will be the host.

If you would like to share your story, contact Rev. D.J. Reed, djayreed@gmail.com, to sign up.

Beverages will be available for purchase. Local churches will provide free snacks.

The collaborating Brighton area congregations are: Chilson Hills Church of Howell (American Baptist), Community Unitarian Universalists in Brighton, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist of Brighton and Whitmore Lake, St. George Lutheran (ELCA) and St. Paul’s Episcopal.
