Longtime Genoa Township Clerk Polly Skolarus has won the GOP primary, defeating challenger Rita Croft, 2,070 votes too 1,712.
In the race for four trustee spots on the ballot, all four GOP incumbents won: Jim Mortenson (2,661), Terry Croft (2,488), Diana Lowe (2,332) and Jean Ledford (2,146). Challenger Dewey Thomas trailed with 1,911.
