Flint man charged in armed robbery of Mobil station in Hartland Township

Dequan Currie, 29, of Flint, was arraigned May 20 in Livingston County District Court on charges of armed robbery, carrying a concealed weapon, and felony firearms in connection with the early morning robbery of the Mobil station on Clyde Road near U.S. 23 in Hartland Township.

In that robbery, a suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes before fleeing that area on foot. According to a release from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, detectives identified Currie with the assistance of several Genesee County police agencies; he was arrested without incident.

Currie remains lodged in the Livingston County Jail on $500,000 cash/surety bond.
