Sharing is caring!

The Livingston County Health Department and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention are hosting an event to commemorate International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day.

Survivors of suicide loss come together to find connection, understanding, and hope through their shared experience. Those attending learn practical coping strategies, explore grief, and discover resources to help.

The event is held on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This year, the event is set for 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the offices of Livingston County Community Mental Health, 622 E. Grand River Ave. in Howell.

The free event will include a documentary by AFSP; a panel discussion with survivors and professional staff; and an activity. Coping skills and local support resources will be highlighted, and light refreshments will be served.
