The Brighton Optimist Club and Eternity Brewing Company presented checks to Torch 180 totaling $583 from the Nov. 8 euchre benefit. Torch 180 is a nonprofit 501(c)3 food-service training company, providing food-industry training for adults with disabilities.

At 6 p.m. on the second Tuesday of every month, the Brighton Optimist Club has a euchre tournament to benefit a different local 501 c3 group at Eternity Brewing Company in Howell. One hundred percent of the money generated during these euchre nights is split between the designated charity, and the first, second and third place winners.

The next tournament on Dec. 13 will raise money for the Friends of the Brighton District Library.

Since December 2021, the tournaments have generated over $8,400 in donations to local 501 c3 groups.

Online registration is encouraged to expedite setup. More information and the upcoming schedule can be found at: https://www.BrightonOptimist.org/euchre.
