Sharing is caring!

Three Livingston County students in grades 7-12 will be awarded cash prizes in the Grant Sweet Memorial Essay Contest.

Students are requested to interview a soldier or veteran, learn about what their service meant to them, and then share what they learned in a 250-word essay before May 6, 2013.

The winning essays will be read at an awards celebration on May 13 at 6:30 p. m., and winners must be present to receive their prize money.

Winning essays will also be published in the Hartland Area Community Council’s Memorial Day Parade booklet.

Interested parties can call the Hartland Library, 810-632-5200.
