Livingston County’s Community Emergency Response Team is offering a free, 20-hour, two-day class for anyone who would like to be part of a team.
The CERT Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may affect their area, and it trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. CERT may assist public safety agencies when requested.
The class begins at 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 5 and 6, at the Livingston County EMS building, 1911 Tooley Road in Howell.
Seats are limited, and you must register if you want to attend. You must be over 18.
