An early-morning threat emailed to several Howell High School administrators closed the district for the day on Tuesday, May 21.

Superintendent Erin J. MacGregor said law enforcement had not been able to deem the threat non-credible, and needed additional time to “thoroughly investigate” the matter.

“Due to this and out of an abundance of caution, Howell Public Schools will be closed today, Tuesday, May 21, 2024,” MacGregor wrote in an email to parents.
