Hartland Community Education’s Dynamic Expressions is presenting its annual dance recital: “Through It All, We Dance” will feature two public performances: 7 p.m. Friday, May 18, and 2 p.m. Saturday, May 19.

The recital features approximately 120 children of all ages from Hartland and surrounding communities, performing the dances they’ve been perfecting in class since September of last year. Disciplines of dance on display in the recital include ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip-hop, contemporary, and even highland (dancing with swords).

New this year at the annual recital is a silent auction, proceeds from which will benefit Dynamic Expressions’ members trip to Walt Disney World in June. The silent auction is sponsored by Champion Automotive group in Brighton, Howell and Fowlerville, and includes items from Waldenwoods, Dr. Abed Orthodontics, Hells Survivor Paintball, Fountain of Youth, Spicers Orchard, Good Karma, Sky Zone, Coopers & Binkley, FAO, Ore Creek Jewelers, Fraser Bicycle, and Animal Cracker, Camp Bow Wow, Ziege Games, Hartland Glen, Firekeepers Casino, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Opera House, Lansing Lugnuts, Lansing Brewery, MSU Dairy, Henry Ford, Ann Arbor Hands on Museum, Avalanche Bay, American Girl, Airtime, Putting Edge, Emagine, Planet Rock, Belle Tire, and more.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under, and can be purchased at Hartland Community Education, or at the door. Participation in the silent auction is free, and does not require a ticket purchase. Winners need not be present at the end of the night to claim their prizes.

Signups for next year’s classes begin in August, and dancers need not be students in the Hartland district to sign up!  Visit https://www.hartlandcommunityed.com or stop by the Hartland Community Ed office for more information on enrolling with Dynamic Expressions.

Dynamic Expressions would like to thank Champion Automotive Group in Brighton, Howell and Fowlerville for its generous support of the trip to Walt Disney World!
