Sharing is caring!

“Reuniting America,” a documentary produced by Braver Angels, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing polarization and fostering positive dialogue among people with different views, will be screened at noon, Saturday, June 1, at the Northfield Township Area Library, 125 Barker Road in Whitmore Lake.

Because of polarizing beliefs and actions, we are deeply divided in our communities; this division hurts our ability to work together, to find cooperative solutions, and to even maintain friendships with people who think differently.

The documentary follows eight Republicans and eight Democrats shortly after the highly polarized 2016 election, and observes how these Americans forged friendships despite initial tensions, apprehensions, and differing views. Guided post-viewing discussion optional.
