A look at the meteor that flashed over Michigan on Jan. 16, 2018.

Reports are flooding social media about a meteor streaking across the Michigan sky at about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Sightings were reported from across Livingston County, including Howell, Brighton, Fowlerville, Hartland, and Pinckney.

One person in Pinckney reported seeing the meteor break into two pieces over Pinckney.

If reports are accurate, this is not the first time a meteor has broken up over that area.

In 2018, pieces of a meteor were found by meteor hunters in Hamburg Township. To read more about that, click here and here.
