DHHS gets $1.26B grant for child support enforcement

A new grant for nearly $1.26 billion to enforce child support payment orders through the state Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) was the largest of a series of the latest grants approved during the State Administrative Board’s March 28 meeting. The DHHS grant – which is made up of 100% federal funds – would stretch from Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 through FY ‘28 after it was approved through the Finance and Claims Committee portion of the board. It would provide support to initiate and carry out proceedings to enforce child support payment orders, along with establishing and maintaining
