The Livingston Education Service Agency is in need of more donations of backpacks and school supplies for county students this year. Though over 1,500 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed by Aug. 24, the agency is still receiving calls for assistance.
“We continue to receive calls for backpacks,” the agency said in a release. “The need appears to be higher this year, and we are looking for additional school supply donations in order to meet this need.
“This event is made possible through the generous donations of our community members. We are asking community members to please consider donating backpacks and/or school supplies for us to continue filling backpacks and providing to Livingston County children.”
The Livingston ESA will continued to accept donations of school supplies and backpacks for families still needing assistance.
Donations can be dropped off at the Livingston ESA’s Education Center, 1425 W. Grand River Ave., Howell, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
