The Community Theatre of Howell’s production of the smash-hit musical, “Rock of Ages,” will ignite the stage in November.
“Rock of Ages” is a jukebox musical featuring a head-banging soundtrack filled with classic rock anthems from legendary bands like Bon Jovi, Styx, Journey, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, and more. With its infectious energy, hilarious storyline, and powerhouse performances, the show guarantees a high-octane journey through one of the most iconic eras in music history.
Set in the heart of the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, “Rock of Ages” follows the dreams of a small-town girl and a big-city rocker who find love and chase their dreams in a world where rock ‘n’ roll reigns supreme. As the story unfolds, audiences will be treated to thrilling musical numbers, fantastic dance sequences, and a trip down memory lane to relive the golden age of rock music.
Directors Tracy Pasfield and Theresia Rogers, and an incredibly talented cast of local performers, have been working tirelessly to bring the sights and sounds of the ’80s to life, ensuring that every moment of the show captures the essence of the era and leaves the audience dancing in their seats.
“We’re excited to present ‘Rock of Ages’ to the Howell community,” said Rogers. “This show is a celebration of the music we all love, and we can’t wait to share that energy with our audiences. Get ready for a wild ride of nostalgia, laughter, and epic rock anthems!”
Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, Nov. 10, 11, 17 and 18, with two 2 p.m. performances on Sundays, Nov. 12 and 19 at 1400 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell.
