Sharing is caring!

On behalf of the nearly 25,000 students attending public schools and public school academies in Livingston County, thank you for supporting the Livingston Educational Service Agency’s Special Education Millage Renewal and Restoration on Tuesday, Nov. 5. This approval reaffirms our community’s commitment to providing a high-quality education for every student, every day.

The millage funds essential services such as para-educators, assistive technology, and behavioral support, ensuring that students with special needs can fully access their education. Moreover, the positive effects of the millage extend well beyond the 3,500 students with special needs in Livingston County.

By filling the gap left by state and federal funding shortfalls, the millage preserves general operating budgets, allowing districts to maintain resources for all students.

We are grateful to work in a county where communities consistently prioritize educational opportunities for every student.

Once again, thank you for your support of education in Livingston County.
