Judy Daubenmier, chair of the Livingston County Democratic Party, is one of six delegates from Michigan’s 7th Congressional District chosen to attend the party’s national convention Aug. 19-22 at the United Center in Chicago.

“I am excited to be able to attend the national convention for the first time, and to have this chance to be a voice for other Democrats from our area,” Daubenmier said. “I look forward to hearing from Democratic national leaders about the work we need to do to win in November.

Daubenmier was selected to attend the national convention at the 7th District Democrats’ convention on May 11 in Lansing.

“I deeply appreciate the support of other Livingston County Democrats who helped me win the slot,” Daubenmier said.

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris will need to be nominated in advance of the national convention due to the refusal of Ohio Republicans to allow Biden’s name to be on that state’s ballot if he isn’t nominated before Aug. 7.
