Convery part of early childhood panel on Detroit Public Television March 6

Pat Convery

Pat Convery, president of the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce and high-profile proponent for early childhood education in Michigan, is set to be part of a televised town hall meeting on public education set for Wednesday, March 6.

“The Public’s Agenda for Public Education” is a partnership between Detroit Public Television and the Center for Michigan.

The panel will be airing live on WDET and live-streamed on the Center for Michigan’s website from approximately 10:05-10:30 a.m.; there will be questions from the audience from 10:30-10:45 a.m.

Convery is a longtime advocate for early childhood education. She is one of the first 100 business leaders as president of the chamber to join the Children’s Leadership Council of Michigan, a group of business leaders from across the state who actively support wise investment in early childhood initiatives that are proven to help youngsters thrive.

She is also involved in the Livingston Promise, an initiative to make early childhood education programs available to all Livingston County children. The Livingston Promise initiative came from the Advantage Livingston strategic growth plan.
