Community Story Slam set for March 31 in Brighton

A collaboration of Brighton-area churches will be hosting a Community Story Slam on Monday, March 31, featuring storytelling from Brighton-area pastors, leaders and storytellers. The slam theme will be “Busted! Caught in the Act, Close Calls, and Cracking the Case.” Amir Baghdadchi from the Moth Radio Hour is hosting. Beverages will be available for purchase, and local churches will provide free pizza.

Doors for the event open at 5:30 p.m., and the Story Slam begins at 6:30 p.m. on the upper level of Brewery Becker, 500 W. Main St., in downtown Brighton.

Sponsoring congregations are Chilson Hills Church of Howell, Community Unitarian Universalists in Brighton, First Presbyterian, First United Methodist of Brighton and Whitmore Lake, and St. Paul’s Episcopal.
