Cleary celebrating its homecoming on Oct. 8

Cleary University, located at 3750 Cleary Dr. in Howell, is celebrating its homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The university has lots of fun activities planned for the entire community throughout the day.

Here is the schedule of activities that are open to the community:

Cleary Cougar 5K run

9 a.m. – Shotgun start

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Brunch for all runners

Funds raised from this event support Cleary’s cross country and track-and-field teams

Pre-register by Oct. 1 to receive a free T-shirt and a finisher’s medal.

Tailgating party

3-7 p.m. outside Cleary Commons

The beer tent will be open. Enjoy drinks, Detroit Frankie’s wood-fired brick oven pizza, Kona ice, and complimentary hors d’oeurvres. Sit by the newly-installed fire pit outside the commons and enjoy music by a live DJ.

Cleary soccer and ice hockey

Watch the Cleary men’s and women’s soccer teams compete at Lake Trust Stadium on campus.

  • Men’s soccer vs U-M Dearborn: 4-6 p.m.
  • Women’s soccer vs U-M Dearborn: 7-9 p.m.

While on campus, take in a men’s ice hockey game at 140 Ice Den (next to Lake Trust Stadium).

  • Men’s D1 ice hockey vs Lawrence Technology Institute: 5 p.m.
  • Men’s D3 ice hockey vs Lawrence Technology Institute: 8 p.m.
