High school girls looking for affordable prom dresses can shop at LACASA Center’s Cinderella’s Closet, which opens for prom season on Thursday, April 5, 2018, and includes an additional shopping weekend at a new location this year.
The Closet is an eco-friendly shopping experience and offers high school girls a chance to buy prom dresses at vintage prices while helping charity. All party dresses are just $25 and proceeds go to LACASA Center.
This year, in addition to two weekends of shopping at Snedicor’s Green Earth Cleaners in Brighton, students will have a third weekend to browse for dresses. A Cinderella’s Closet “Curtain Call” event will be held at the LACASA Collection, LACASA Center’s unique resale boutique in Howell.
Cinderella’s Closet raises awareness about self-esteem, self-respect and positive relationships.
Dress scholarships are available, and shoppers may discreetly ask the attendant at the cashier counter for scholarship information. The Closet is reserved for students only, and they will be asked to present school IDs at check out.
Funds raised from the boutique stay local and provide help and hope for vulnerable children and adults from Livingston County who are victims of interpersonal violence. Learn more at lacasacenter.org or lacasacollection.org.
