Churches hosting square dance event in Brighton on June 29

A collaboration of Brighton-area churches will host a free Community Square Dance 5-7 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at The Amp! on the Mill Pond in downtown Brighton.

In case of inclement weather, the event will be held indoors at First Presbyterian Church of Brighton at 300 E. Grand River Ave., Brighton.

Beginners and beyond are welcome, and no partner is needed. David Smith of the South Lyon Square Dance Club will be the square dance caller. The dances will be introductory/beginner level.

The sponsoring congregations are: St. Paul’s Episcopal, First Presbyterian; First United Methodist of Brighton and Whitmore Lake; St. George Lutheran; Chilson Hills Church; and Community Unitarian Universalists.
