The Greater Livingston County Chamber Alliance — a collaboration of the Greater Brighton Area, Hartland Area and Howell Area Chambers of Commerce, — is launching the Leadership Livingston program, which aims to cultivate and empower emerging leaders in the community to drive positive change and shape the future of the community.

The Leadership Livingston program is an intensive eight-month journey designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills and network necessary to become effective leaders in various sectors. Throughout the program, participants will engage in a series of day-long workshops, community tours, and interactive sessions – exploring key themes such as leadership strengths, diversity and inclusion, natural resources, education, workforce development, non-profits, county services and municipal government.

The Alliance believes that investing in leadership development is crucial for the sustainable growth and prosperity of our community. It provides a unique opportunity for individuals to deepen their understanding of our region’s opportunities and challenges, while honing their leadership abilities.

Individual classes run Oct. 8, 2024, through graduation day, May 13, 2025.

Included in the programming are: Certified Tourism Ambassador/Natural Resource Day, Education and Workforce Day, Non-Profit Day, County Services Day, Government Day and Graduation. Sessions will be at various locations in Livingston County, as well as a visit to Lansing’s Capitol with Livingston County’s Representatives.

The Chambers are working collaboratively with Caryn Bedford of Caryn Bedford Consulting, who will serve as moderator of each session.
