A unique day of diverse performers, food and family-friendly fun is set for noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, on the lawn of the historical Livingston County Courthouse in downtown Howell. St. Joseph Mercy Livingston is the Premier Sponsor of this event.
Performances will include Neil Woodward, Michigan’s Troubador; Latin music; belly dancing; African Drumming, and a Chinese lion dance. In addition to the exciting live performances, there will be great food and other fun activities in this first-ever event of its kind in Livingston County. Organized by the Livingston Diversity Council in partnership with the Howell Area Chamber of Commerce, this family-friendly event will raise funds for the council’s educational activities, scholarships and county-specific, diversity-related programs.
“It’s going to be a great day celebrating all the diversity around us,” said Nicole Matthews-Creech, president of the Livingston Diversity Council. “In addition to all the fun that’s planned, the funds we raise will help us provide programs in the community.”
