Brighton Township: Two Dems, four Republicans heading to November contest

The two Democrats and four of the six Republicans running for one of four Brighton Charter Township trustee seats will advance to the November election.

In the Democrat primary, Lee Anzicek, with 727 votes as of 11:30 p.m., and Jean P. Thayer-Seitz, with 714 votes, will both be advancing to the general election.

In the Republican primary, Sam Theis, with 1,238 votes; Steve Combs, with 1,042 votes; Cathy Doughty, with 977 votes; and Daniel Schifko, with 919 votes, appear to be heading to the November ballot.
