Brighton-based baton team brings home medals from world competition event in Italy

On Aug. 2 and 3, the Limited Edition baton team, based out of Brighton, competed at the IBTF World Majorettes Championship in Torino, Italy. They competed in three events and earned gold, silver, and bronze medals for their performances.

The 18 members are from Howell, Hartland, Brighton, Pinckney, Fowlerville, Walled Lake, and Allen Park. Many are also local high school twirlers and can be seen entertaining the crowds at football games in the fall. They are coached by Tammy Albrecht.
