The Hartland High School Drama Club’s production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” takes the stage at the high school April 20-22 and April 27-29. From now until opening night, we’ll be introducing you to members of the production.

Brady Spisz is looking forward to dying on stage as Jehan Frollo, the quintessential Prodigal Son, during each performance of the Hartland High School Drama Club’s production of “The Hunchback of Notre Dame.”

“It’s quite something,” said Spisz.

He’s a senior who has been involved in drama, choir, and class council; Spisz has also been involved in the Drama Club for three years, and he is currently the organization’s president. He’s had many roles, including most recently those of Will Parker in “Oklahoma,” and Sid Prince in “Sherlock Holmes.”

A funny guy himself, Spisz lists Jim Carrey, John Krasinski, Jeremy Jordan, and High Jackman as his inspirations.

Outside of school, Spisz enjoys video games and art. The son of John and Kristine Spisz, he also has three brothers, Andrew, Colby and Zachary; and a sister, Jayna.

It’s no surprise what Spisz enjoys most about being onstage: “I really like the attention,” he said. “I always have.”

Shows are April 20-22 and April 27-29 at Hartland High School, 10635 Dunham Road, Hartland. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday shows are at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $13 for students/seniors, and can be purchased at http://hartlanddramaclub.weebly.com/ or at the door.
