The Brighton Center for the Performing Arts, 7878 Brighton Road on the campus of Brighton High School, is getting ready for a festive December, complete with holiday music and charitable giving, with its “Holiday POPs with the Phil” concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, featuring the Michigan Philharmonic.
In the spirit of giving, the BCPA is partnering with Toys for Tots to host a local toy drive prior to the show. Patrons attending the concert are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate in the lobby, helping to ensure a brighter Christmas for local children. The toy drive collection will begin when the lobby doors open at 3 p.m.
“The holiday concerts are always a highlight of our season and truly brings the joy of music to our community,” said Erica Englund, who handles marketing and programming for the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts. “Pairing this event with a Toys for Tots drive allows us to use the magic of music to make a heartwarming difference right here in Livingston County.”
