Sharing is caring!

The Livingston Educational Service Agency is gearing up for its 17th annual “Backpacks for Kids” project. The goal of this project is to provide Livingston County students whose families are experiencing financial difficulties with basic school supplies at no cost.

Last year, over 1,000 Livingston County students received backpacks filled with basic school supplies. Donations were received from individuals, local businesses and community groups.

Donations for the 2018 LESA “Backpacks for Kids” project — backpack items or monetary donations — can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. throughout the summer at the Livingston Educational Service Agency, 1425 W. Grand River Ave. in Howell.

For a listing of collection sites, visit LivingstonESA.org and click on the Parent & Community Resources tab. If your organization is interested in becoming a collection site, contact Judy Paulsen at judypaulsen@livingstonesa.org.

Distribution will take place 6-8 p.m Thursday, Aug. 16, at the LESA Education Center. Our Connect for Kids event will run the same day, starting at 5 p.m.

For additional information, call (517) 540-6833.
