The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for its second Citizen’s Academy, which will run for 14 weeks on Thursday evenings from March 19, 2020, to June 18, 2020. The academy is designed to give the public an inside look at what the sheriff’s department does and how it does it.
Some of the classes will consist of the actual training deputies receive, such as a firearms range simulation, emergency vehicle operation, evidence processing, and others. Applicants need to be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license, pass a background check, and not have any pending criminal cases or felony convictions.
