A night of adaptive sports fun is set for 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Oceola Community Center, 1661 N. Latson Road. The event is the result of a partnership between the Howell Recreation Authority and UMAISE (University of Michigan Adaptive and Inclusive Sports Experience).

Participants will learn how to use a sports wheelchair, skills and drills, learning about the adaptations, and take part in a game of pickleball or basketball.

This free event is open to everyone of all abilities and is a great way to get out, get active, and try something new.

There will be eight adult chairs and a mix of pediatric-size chairs available, and all ages will be on the court participating together.

Registration for this program is required. To register, click here.
